CILK was formed in April 2002 to support the positive promotion and uptake of Direct Payments and Independent Living for Disabled People living in Kent. We are a Registered Charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee. The current Directors are all disabled people with differing impairments. Five of them are Personal Assistant employers.

Their vision is that all people with learning disabilities will be given the same opportunities as others to live rewarding lives in the community.<br><br>They believe that all people have rights, opportunities and also responsibilities. Our aim is to ensure that, with adequate support; people with learning disabilities can exercise their rights, use their opportunities and understand their responsibilities.
